What Hillsborough Heights Village Residents Say …
Testimonial: Mrs Crawford
"It is very reassuring having the three emergency call buttons in my home.
They give access to the nursing staff very easily, giving one great peace of mind. The call buttons can be used for other purposes too – should you see someone loitering in the gardens, or in the case of a flood, etc. The staff here are very friendly and the maintenance team are marvellous and take care of the smallest things. They put your pictures up for you when you move in, you just tell them where you want them to go, and they even replace the batteries in your smoke alarms!
You can be as public or as private as you wish to be in the village. You get invited to attend functions; however there is no pressure to get involved. I really wouldn’t want to live anywhere else! I am so pleased I am not alone in a house somewhere, cut off from the world. I have never felt safer than I do now, living in the village! "
Testimonial: Mrs Roberts
When I moved into the village my friends thought I was going to lose my independence and I was even asked what time the visiting hours were! People get confused between retirement villages and rest homes. You have such an active life at the village; however you are not compelled to get involved in all the activities that are offered.
The people in the village – both the staff and the residents - are so nice and friendly. Hillsborough Heights Village is known as the friendly village, after all! The staff and village Manager are so wonderful; I really cannot fault them at all!
Testimonial: Mrs Frances O’Connor and daughter, Sue Young
“Hillsborough Heights Village is like going on a cruise. It suited my mother perfectly! For the first time in her life she had to buy herself a diary to take care of all her social events.
My husband and I go overseas occasionally and it is wonderful not having to worry about Mum. It would be such a worry if she was on her own! We have such peace of mind knowing that she has emergency buttons in her room should she need them.”
Sue, Mrs O’Connor’s daughter.
“I have been in the village for over 4 years, and it is the most stress-free I have ever been in my life! There are no security worries, no bills to be paid – the only thing I have to worry about is what I’m going to wear!”
You don’t need to leave the village – everything is here for you… a hairdresser, doctor, fitness class. However we love going for our weekly shopping trip in the free bus!
I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!”
